2012 Participating Wineries:

Lone Buffalo Vineyards

The buffalo's power and resilience in the face of encroaching civilization symbolizes hope and renewal for humanity and harmony among all people. Located in the Sierra foothills, Lone Buffalo Vineyards symbolizes this same hope and renewal with its contribution to the re-emergence of the wine-making tradition in Placer County.

Lucchesi Vineyards & Winery

Lucchesi Vineyards is perched high upon a hillside overlooking Nevada County and with beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Great care is taken in selecting the grape varieties and clones which were best suited for our Sites Series soils and mountain climate.

Naggier Vineyards & Winery

The wines, tasting room and the beautiful vineyard are like none other in Northern Sierra, you just have to experience it! Our family is dedicated to making a range of high-quality, boutique wines emphasizing Rhone, Bordeaux and Italian varietals.   Nestled in the Sierra Foothills with over 60 acres of planted vines we aim to grow and produce the best hand crafted wines in small quantities. With over 15 wines to choose from you are certain to find something that will meet your palate’s approval.  Our wines have been garnered with numerous medals and recognition and our winery was nominated, from over 100’s of wineries in the area, as Sacramento’s Best Winery for 2010

Rancho Roble Vineyards

Mark and Therese Adams have deep roots in vine growing and wine making and they have planted these roots in Western Placer County. The vineyards “Syrah Noir” planted in 1999 and “Barbera” planted in 2000 are producing luscious fruit. The Adams selected the Barbera grape because of its rich history in the area. The Italian Barbera was originally introduced to Placer County by the 49’ers during the 19th century Gold Rush. This varietal is also particularly well suited to the soils and oak savannah micro-climate of the Placer County Sierra Foothills where Rancho Roble Vineyards and Winery are located.

Sean Minor Wines

Sean Minor founded Sean Minor Wines and Four Bears Winery in 2005 with a passion for producing wines of exceptional varietal characteristics and expressive terroir distinctiveness. A veteran of the wine industry with more than 20 years experience, Sean Minor's fine wine career began with Beaulieu Vineyard (BV) in Napa Valley before taking an opportunity to manage Oregon's King Estate Winery, and later accepting an appointment as President of Benton-Lane Winery. He returned to California to manage Renwood Winery before he and his wife Nicole decided to start their own wine company. Their first offering is under the Four Bears brand.

Wilderotter Vineyard

The Shenandoah Valley: nestled in the Sierra Nevada Foothills is a beautiful valley of rolling hills and meandering streams. This majestic place is where gold was discovered back in the 1850's.
